NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

IRONHOUSE SANITARY DISTRICT

SEWER SERVICE CHARGE INCREASE

 

 

 

On Tuesday, June 2, 2015, the Ironhouse Sanitary District Board of Directors will hold a public hearing to consider setting the rate for the District’s sewer service charge for fiscal year 2015-16. The proposed new annual sewer service charge of $658 per ESU (Equivalent Service Unit) will be a 3.3% increase above the current rate of $637, and will take effect on July 1, 2015. If adopted, the new rate will appear as a special assessment on your property tax bill. The Board continues to work diligently to keep the rate below the established maximum of $680 per ESU, adopted June 5, 2007.

 

The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be held at the Ironhouse Sanitary District Office, 450 Walnut Meadows Drive, Oakley, California.

Summary Of Ordinance No. 58 and Order No. 15-29


Adjusting Trunkline Capacity and Plant Capacity Fees


 


On Tuesday, May 5, 2015, the Ironhouse Sanitary District Board of Directors adopted its Ordinance No. 58 and Order No. 15-29 (the “Ordinance”),


summarized as follows.


 


Based on the Capacity Fee Update Report from the District’s financial consultants, Bartle Wells Associates, and after extensive public notice, the following fees of the Ironhouse Sanitary District are increased as follows, effective July 5, 2011;



a.   The existing Trunkline capacity fee of $897.00 shall be increased by $23.00 to $920.00 per equivalent service unit (ESU).


 


         b.   The existing plant capacity fee of $4,668.50 shall be increased by $119.00 bringing the fee to $$4,787.50 per ESU.


 


The Board also made certain related findings concerning environmental effects and designated the undersigned to prepare and publish this summary in accordance with California Health and Safety Code Section 6490.
